Russia-Iran Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Corey: Hey, Corey, Stutte back
here for another Two Minute Drill.
Got a lot to talk about today.
In both instances, we're going
to be talking about Iran.
The first item on today's agenda is going
to be discussing the forthcoming Russia,
Iran, comprehensive strategic partnership.
Now this partnership is going to
be signed in Moscow on Friday.
Between President Vladimir Putin
and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
So we are going to see the strategic
partnership come together between the
two countries and it's really going to
be focused on multiple things, but it
really, at the end of the day comes down
to focusing on countering Western weapon
systems as well as Western influence.
So this is really going to be solidifying
the relationship that they already have.
Now some specifics, this might be
able to bring forth is advanced
military technology transfers.
Obviously, there are a lot of
different weapons systems that
these two countries share.
Drone and missile collaboration.
We've seen a lot of Shahed drones
and other types of drone technology.
Flow into Russia as Russia
continues their war against Ukraine.
We will.
Possibly see some nuclear cooperation.
Which would be sharing, nuclear technology
and those sorts of technologies moving
forward, which would be a big concern as
we continue to talk about the possibility
of a nuclear weaponization in Iran.
And then also we will be probably
seeing some opportunities for cyber
security and electronic warfare.
Specifically to continue
to counter the West.
So these are some big issues
that we're seeing coming together
here with this Russia, Iran,
Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
And once again, this
will be signed on Friday.
In Moscow between the two Presidents.
So, some big happenings there.
Now, something that sorta comes in
line with this is the announcement
today during a ceremony that there
was going to be a 1,000 long range
drones delivered to the Iranian army.
Now, these drones are long range.
Which means that they can go
more than 2,000 kilometers.
Which really helps expand their
strike and surveillance reach.
So, this is a fairly big deal.
Once again, these are they're
1,000 of these drones.
That are being brought forward.
And they also have some pretty
interesting stealth technology on board.
They also have the possibility
of autonomous operation.
And once again, they spread out through
different types of operations, whether
it's intelligence, whether it's strike
capabilities and with them being long
range, strategic weapons, there is
something that we will need to be
paying attention to you moving forward.
And as we discussed this forthcoming
Russia, Iran, Comprehensive Strategic
Partnership, it's certainly going
to be important to watch how
these drones also come into play.
In Russia, for example, so a lot going on.
